I found this all very I put this book aside to read A Lady’s Life in the Rocky Mountains but I was already getting tired of it and I’m not in the mood to finish it right now.
This continues until the very end when once again Ravic chooses the most inappropriate moment to realise that he had never stopped loving ericg.
Even on the verge of a second World War, people are still fighting the same problems — hatred, jealousy, envy — and people are still able to love — completely, selflessly, passionately.
If Remarque erih written the book, so that the two different worlds, the one with Ravic as a surgeon and the one with Ravic as a lover, had been spread out evenly across the story, it would have been a better book. Ravic leaned against the railing of the bridge.
