From what I can tell, Yukio Mishima was not a very happy man. His desire to fit in with the rest of the world leads him to play an elaborate game, ve wear a mask so convincing that it nearly convinces himself. An obsession perhaps common to his generation in Japan.
Were it not for the arrows with their shafts deeply sunk into his left armpit confexiones right side, he would seem more a Roman athlete resting from fatigue, leaning against a dusky tree in a garden. There is the very stubbornness of the claim. But at the same time, all the harsh criticisms. conffsiones Want to Read saving…. All this might seem to suggest that Confessions is a fairly dry read, but that’s only because I haven’t yet had a chance duly praise Mishima’s writing style.
Kochan has no friends to talk to, no family to lean on, and no way to know if what he’s feeling is good or bad.
