East was written when fantasy could still be fantasy. Necessary wherever the first is popular; a good addition to any collection where fairy-tale retellings circulate well. Why not keep the name Norway, or alternatively use new names for the cities.

Rose is just amazing and you can’t help eats admiring her persistence. This is Young Adult Fantasy. I have seriously been missing out because Rose is kind of the perfect heroine: Defently a book I recomend. This is the book is for you. In many ways, other than just expanding on the original, this version seemed to try to add some realism to the tale.

We are experiencing technical difficulties. I’m a bit disappointed that the more fantastic aspects of the original folk tale were not included, but if I had pattpu read the original story, I wouldn’t have noticed they were missing. Rose has always been different.
