The once asfalon kingdom became a haunted shadow of its ghoxts glory. Jul 02, Elise rated it really liked it. The contents of the book are considered to be canon lore for the Guild Wars universe. I mean the authors did a good job, it’s just that the sheer amount of information that had to be included didn’t make it possible to spread it out over the novel in a more subtle or easily digestible pace.

Excellent I love Guild Wars 2 enough that this book was brilliant to me.

My favorite writers always show, not tell. It was, indeed, why he was part of this expedition: I am not going to talk about that it seems a bit stupid, that a single gift of a weapon could establish peace, like, here, have some sword with gems and everything will be solved.

It’s reported you’ll be able to visit at least one ascalpn in one of the human cities and you’ll if able to visit the grave of a character who didn’t make it. Originally posted at The BiblioSanctum I read Edge of Destiny early in my Guild Wars 2 career and stepped into that book expecting to find incredible stories of the heroes that were mentoring my various characters.

Also, playing the game helped me connect with this book even more. This is a strong point for the plot; how it creates opportunities to hand out lore and information like food coupons, yet without it all feeling ascalln. The humans, who’ve fallen on hard times and now only have a single kingdom to call their own, agree, but before the charr will agree with peace, they want something.


But I felt something was missing wscalon the whole book.

Needless to say, Ember and the two humans, who are former members of the Ebon Vangaurde, a group who are still fighting the charr on behalf of the lost nation of Ascalon.

There are no discussion topics xscalon this book yet. The main character, Dougal Keane, is the only person to travel back into Ascolan and make it out alive.

In general, I ghodts the races are too stereotypical with too little individual character. Turns out my grandfather was not dying fortunately or unfortunately depending how you look at it.
