All in all, like the choices made by the throw of the dice, this book turned out to be extremely random and messy, and ultimately unfulfilling. People are generally brought up to believe that they are in control of their lives. So I read a book to tell me what books to read to be cool. I wanted okay, fine – want to be a cool sdam, and that meant means reading more obscure – but good – books than anyone else.


I found the thoughts, actions and justifications of Luke Rhinehart utterly ridiculous rhknehart so much so I rolled my eyes and cringed on reading some of it.

Because this is my blog, dammit, and I get to do that if I want to. The concept of the book is ritualistic and makes you think it is an absolute genius, but it feels as if the writer is not a tree lover. Random I can’t believe I actually finished this book. It is more a collection of pop philosophical musings on aspects of the meaning of life.

He first floated the idea of living according to the casting of dice in a lecture. On 1 Augustat the age of 80, Cockcroft arranged for his own death to be announced.

I think the thing that put me off the most was the way it actually trivialised some extremely dispicable behaviours and almost made light of some extremely sensitive subjects. Interesting, subversive and subjective was a good read overall. It is a bit silly but it’s a ton of fun and for it’s length it’s pretty breezy. Do I feel uncomfortable calling it ‘not a real rape’ when the woman was clearly reluctant? Therefore, it makes much more sense to instead encourage people to dedicate rhinehwrt to chance, since chance is reliably unreliable.
